About Us

This site is dedicated to the Navajo Nation Weavers who are devoted to their craft and produce many unusual and beautiful rugs and tapestries.  We salute and pay homage to the Master Weavers who have left us after many years of dedication to their art, their families and their nation.

Weavers often serve many roles in the Navajo communities.  They are teachers, community leaders, and income providers for their families.  Although they have, at times, met with unscrupulous buyers, collectors and traders, they also have their champions and promoters.  You will see links to those supportive individuals and organizations at the bottom of each page on this website.  We appreciate all those that advance and celebrate the work of Navajo Nation Weavers.

All known information for the weavers has been included on the site in a simple format, but we welcome input to correct and update the basic information contained here.     The majority of the Weavers live in Arizona and New Mexico.  We are aware that there are probably many that live in other states, please let us know if you come across one.  Thank you and we hope you will come back and visit us often.
